Cowabunga!
My son just turned 5 and is crazy about Ninja Turtles. Unfortunately for me, at the time of planning there wasn’t a ton of Ninja Turtle party supplies available. I ended up getting supplies from several different stores – wherever I could find it – and used Canva to create some of the decorations that were used.
Because it was November and the weather can be unpredictable, we rented a space that had two bounce houses. My advice for any kid Birthday parties:Â rent a bounce house if you can! They are great – they keep the kids occupied and having fun…and you may even get an afternoon nap out of them afterwards!

The space was awesome and allowed for minimal decorations needed – which was good since we only had a half hour for set up.
Behind the dessert and goodies table I hung a brick backdrop and made a green balloon arch. In the arch I added small clusters of colored balloons – orange for Michelangelo, red for Raphael, blue for Leonardo, and purple for Donatello. Hopefully I got the colors matched to the right Ninja Turtle – my son has only been reminding me for the past year who is who.
The Happy Birthday and Pizza Banners I made using Canva. I found a similar Happy Birthday Banner available on Amazon. I put out Ninja Turtle masks, temporary tattoos and gummy pizzas – all of which were a huge hit with the kids…and some of the adults!
I ended up making the treat bags using Canva. My son had picked out ones he liked on Amazon, but since I had green bags already, I made my own design that was similar. After lots of printing and cutting, they ended up so cute and every kid got to pick their favorite turtle.
We ended up making the pinata – the Ninja Turtle’s favorite – a huge pizza, complete with anchovies! Now I know we could have bought a pinata, but my husband’s favorite thing is to make the pinata impossible to break open. For my son’s first Birthday, the pinata took over an hour before it broke. This time we had limited time with the space we rented so he agreed to make it a little easier.Â

We cut the circles out of a huge piece of cardboard we had and then one long strip for the outside edge. We put packing tape over the entire thing. After cutting several rolls of streamers – and a bag of glue sticks – our pinata looked pretty good and only took about a half hour to break open. We ended up having to call in some adult reinforcements to help get it moving along.
It ended up being a great time and best of all was our son thanking us for the best birthday ever as he fell asleep that night.

I printed the images on sticker paper and then cut them out by hand.
