Easy Appetizer Ideas for a 4th of July Party and Summer Get-Togethers

With the 4th of July just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your patriotic party menu. Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, a poolside gathering, or a picnic at the park, having a variety of delicious and easy appetizers is a must. In this blog post, we’ll share two refreshing and crowd-pleasing appetizer recipes that are perfect for any summer get-together: Gazpacho Dip and Cucumber Sandwiches. These appetizers are not only easy to make but also capture the vibrant flavors of summer.

Gazpacho Dip

Gazpacho Dip for 4th of July Appetizer

Ingredients:

  •  8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 cucumber
  • sliced black olives

Instructions:

  1. Soften cream cheese and mix with sour cream, pressed garlic and salsa using a mixer.
  2. Spread out evenly into a dish. I used an 8″ x 8″ baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  4. Cut up tomato and cucumber into bite sized pieces.
  5. Add tomato, cucumber and sliced olives on top.
  6. To create the American flag, I used the black olives for the blue corner and the tomato and cucumber for the stripes. For the stars, I used a mini star cutter and a mozzarella cheese slice.

Cucumber Sandwiches

Cucumber Sandwiches for 4th of July Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • French Baguette
  • Cucumber
  • Alouette Garlic and Herbs Spread
  • Celery Salt

Instructions:

  1. Slice the French baguette into round, even slices.
  2. Spread each slice with Alouette Garlic and Herbs Spread.
  3. Cut the cucumber into slices about the same thickness as the bread. If your cucumber is narrow, cut at an angle for a bigger diameter slice to fit on the bread.
  4. Top with a sprinkle of celery salt.
  5. Serve.
I recommend making these right before serving to keep the cucumber crisp and fresh.
These easy and delicious appetizers are sure to impress your guests at your 4th of July party or any summer get-together. The Gazpacho Dip captures the vibrant flavors of summer vegetables, while the refreshing Cucumber Sandwiches provide a delightful balance of textures and flavors. Both recipes are quick and easy to make, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the festivities with your loved ones. So, fire up the grill, put on some patriotic tunes, and get ready to kick off your summer celebration with these crowd-pleasing appetizers!
