- Jar with lid and handle – I used this one I found at Hobby Lobby, but found a similar one on Amazon: Glass Jar with Lid
- Paper shred
- Tassel
- Ribbon
- Black Paper
1. Cut paper to size
Cut your black paper to fit using the jar lid as a template. Aim for approximately 1.5 inches on each side, but don’t worry about being exact.
2. Secure paper to lid
If your jar lid has a screw-on handle, remove the handle and insert the screw through the middle of the paper. Then reattach the handle securely.
3. Add the tassel
Enhance your graduation cap lid by adding a tassel to the handle. To ensure it stays in place, you could use a small amount of glue. If you choose to use glue, it’s advisable to apply it to the paper rather than the handle.
4. Create your jar filler
Add a charming touch to your rolled money by tying a small piece of ribbon around it, resembling a diploma. Repeat this step for various bill amounts and place them inside the jar along with gold paper shred. For an extra surprise, you can also include treats or candy.
